The Department of Commerce and Management Studies at K. V. Ustad Memorial Darul Hidaya Orphanage Arts and Science College for Women organized an “Alumnae Talk” as part of the Commerce Day celebrations.
The programme was held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the college seminar hall. Adv. Aparna K., a former B.Com student of the 2016–19 batch, was the chief guest. Currently practising as an advocate at the Thrissur District Court, Adv. Aparna shared her college experiences, academic insights, and professional experiences with the students.
Interacting with the students, she spoke about various aspects including the scope of commerce studies, higher education, career opportunities in the legal field, career choices, personality development, self-confidence, and goal setting. She encouraged the students to make the best use of the opportunities available to them during their academic years, identify their abilities and interests, and set clear career goals for the future.
The session provided the students with valuable insights into career development and the diverse opportunities available to commerce graduates.
