As part of the observance of World Diabetes Day, the NSS Unit of K.V. Ustad Memorial Darul Hidaya Arts and Science College organized a Diabetes Awareness Class on campus. The session was led by Dr. Abdul Hakeem R.P., Diabetologist at Getwell Hospital, Naduvattam, who addressed the students and parents on the causes, symptoms, prevention, and management of diabetes.
Dr. Hakeem emphasized the importance of early detection, healthy lifestyle practices, and regular monitoring to combat the rising incidence of diabetes among all age groups.
In connection with the program, a free sugar (GRBS) test was also conducted for students and parents, enabling them to assess their blood glucose levels and understand their health status.
